One of the lads I go to Uni with is a Barnsley fan and always asked about Stones and now asks about Holgate so he's told me about a few of the lads they've got coming up. Said Mawson is the next one and we should be in for him. Only played 3 or 4 games in the Championship and they've 5 million for him.

Swansea he's going to, not Sunderland.

Think Spurs were favourites for him. A few premier league teams were after him. I like the way they seem to be going for younger hungrier players might stand them in good stead.

That is probably why the price seems so high, most PL sides were probably going to wait until next summer and / or panic buy in January but they have stolen a march on everyone. He is a fantastic prospect though.
