Wonder did City spend a small fortune in January as they know they may be facing a transfer ban or squad budget, or loss of revenue with with the charges in the coming years.

Seemed to me as if they were preparing for something.

To be fair they had two of their best players out injured and were on a horrific run of results. They couldn't afford to wait for the summer if they wanted to salvage something from the season.

Yeah Sancho is a funny one. In his first spell at Dortmund he looked a totally different player. Not sure if it’s a physical or a mental thing or both

Towards the end at Dortmund under Favre, Sancho was not always starting either - I believe it’s a combination of factors for a player who regularly moved from club to club as a teenager

I think ego & discipline let him down

Chelsea have completed the double signing of Geovany Quenda and Dário Essugo from Sporting, agreeing a combined fee of around £62.5m for the pair.

The Portuguese club announced the deals late on Wednesday night, confirming 17-year-old Quenda would join the Blues for just under £44m and Essugo for £18.5m.



Chelsea can just spend whatever they want with no consequences, even without CL football.
