Personally, I think White worked well in a particular system at Brighton: he is a good, technical and ball playing defender, but he had two grocks next to him.
I have a feeling that in Arsenal's system - not playing a back three and without the same physicallity - he might start to be outmuscled and make mistakes.
Webster is 6' 3, Duffy 6' 4, Dunk 6' 4 and Burn 6' 7. We might need a plan 'B' outside of lots and lots of crosses when we play Brighton.
But back to White, he's going to be found out on a regular basis at Arsenal. Lukaku for one will have a field day bullying him.
I think White is similar to Keane, which some may see as a criticism while (a few) others may think of some of the positives.
With the right player(s) next to them, Keane and White are both defenders who can thrive; with the wrong players next to them, they can look woeful.
Ultimately, a defender who is reliant on working within a specific partnership is not a top defender.
Yes, totally agree, I think most of us probably grew up with the concept of the 'little and large' strike partnership.
I would argue that getting defenders who complement each other is a huge part of building squads. In this case it's one of my biggest knocks against Arsenal, their squad recruitment is a disjointed mess. Arteta wants to play out from the back, so they've gone all in on White, but the other pieces aren't there.
I thought Keane came back from his mistake well last weekend, he's a player that needs to get out of his own way sometimes. There was a Danish lad on loan at Fulham last season, now with Palace, Andersen? who is excellent on the ball and can defend. I was surprised there wasn't more competition for his signature.

Wolves selling a couple of players on the fringes with Otasowie going to Brugge and Rafael Mir to Sevilla. I like the Mir move for Sevilla as he's stylistically similar to En-Nesiyri.
