They really are. Brother in law is a gooner and trying to convince me how amazing Ben White is. Think they are just adding more average into an already average squad.

There's that thing where usually 'keepers in relegated sides are stand out performers because they have lots of shots to save. Thinking of Areola at Fulham last season, for example. But Ramsdale hasn't made that impression on me, think Arsenal have had a Walsh here.

Arteta wants to play out from the back, it's about the only thing he absolutely knows for certain he wants to do, so they went all in for White. At Brighton he was protected by Dunk, Burns, Duffy, Webster around him, at Arsenal he'll be totally exposed and found out.

Starting to think Arteta could win the sack race.

Someone tried justifying it on a podcast saying “they got relegated but he got POTY which shows you something”.

I was thinking well they got relegated so hardly had a 30 goal striker to give it to.
