There are a few in Football like him imo, they are top athletes but not footballers, well not at a professional level anyway.
I think in the mainstay there's been a shift towards physical fitness being considered as on par with footballing ability in terms of importance, if not more so.

There's lots of players who can sprint quickly, keep running all day and look like physical adonises, but technically they're not as good as previous players.

Without a doubt mate, I think clubs these days look for players to run the 90 mins first then hope to teach them the skills later.

Xavi is trying to restore the Barcelona identity. More Spanish players and more youth from La Masia like Pedri, Gavi, Mingueza. Alves coming back was a part of this and Adama also played with Xavi and knows the club well. More importantly, he will really want to do well for Barca. He is cheap and, in the right team, could be an excellent player.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Seems to be targeting the old (and new) La Masia 'graduates' to bring back the identity of the club...

Not a bad idea to be fair. They need to keep churning out and identifying a new group to build around the talented kids they have.

Traore at Barcelona is the most bizarre transfer this window.

123 games at Wolves, started 40% of those games.

Plays in a front three his entire time there.

8 goals , 13 assists.

The definition of stealing a living.

Dreadful player really. Like a bull in a China shop without any real end product...

They can sign players they just haven't got the spare wages to register them to actually play.

That's why loads of players like Pique and Umtiti are accepting new contracts for less wages.
Says a bit about the club that the players will do that. Messi would have stayed, but couldn’t cut his wages any more.
