To me that fee and that age means a player should be ready to hit the ground running and produce, it's why you pay that amount. It's the same amount they paid for Pogba who, let's face it, has been hit and miss.

But that doesn't seem to be case now in overpaying for "potential" rather than in the past where you grab a bargain. It's the same with Havertz and his fee. I've not seen anything worth that and reminds me a lot of Dele Ali - another who was touted at being £90mill is probably worth barely £30mill.

But we'll see. I probably just don't like the fanfare behind it rather than the player. Just seems very FIFA fanboy like

I'm in on Havertz. Lampard didn't know how to use him, Tuchel does. He was really good after the turn of the year and probably Germany's best player at this tournament. I expect he'll answer a lot of questions this season.

Sancho was a better player in Germany, and I don't personally think it was particularly close. IMO Sancho's best comparison in terms of production at a young age in Germany before coming to England for a big fee is De Bruyne. He's been that good over there.
