The homegrown take of others may well be correct.
The cynical take would be that Pep doesn't tend to stay anywhere real long, and that he's interested in immediate points tally should his goalkeeper go down rather than developing the club in the long term.
I'll let you decide how much cynicism you feel Pep deserves, and we can wait a couple years for the actual answer to that one.

Seen a fair amount of him. He's not great. He's no Van Dijk, let's put it that way.
Lower half Prem is his limit. Its an OK signing for Brentford but they've slightly overpaid, and Celtic will be very happy with that fee.

I think he will in the Championship next season.
This season however I think if they play expansive they'll ship goals and if they park the bus then this guy isn't one of those "rock solid" centre halves to play that way.

Bad at Bournemouth.
Even worse at Sheffield United.
Some shocking signings at Arsenal, paid way over the odds for Ben White as well who hasn't shown enough to be a £50 million player, English premium at it's worse and Arsenal are a shambles of a club right now, giving stupid contracts to players almost on the wrong side of 30, and being fleeced for average English players.
Get the Popcorn stocked up, AFTV is going to be epic viewing next season.

Apparently, Sevilla want a buy back clause. I doubt Levy will go for that.
As for Gil, he looked promising when he first broke into the team but he's been on loan at Eibar. He looks a bit slight for the prem. He might be another David Silva in the making but he might be the new Deulofeu.
Whereas, I can easily see Lamela doing well in Spain.
