Er yeah, he’s really ripping up world football lol

Bit of a difference though. Ajax are successful and they lose them regardless. A club like Everton are expected to lose their better players as we never win sod all.

Why would anyone feel sorry for them? Selling players just results in someone from the youth system stepping up, and puts better players in the youth system because their parents / agents know its an almost guaranteed way of getting playing time and a big move at the end of it. Meanwhile they get stuffed with cash.

As business models go its light years ahead of anything in the Premier League.

I'd have felt better about it if we replaced him with someone from the under-18s who was better than him - then sold that kid for even more money, and saw him replaced by yet another talented youth.
