Still a very good centre-back but unfortunately prone to a few clangers. Still, Pep and the City hieracy seem to rate him highly so is still well respected.
 

Really thought it would be the kopites who got went all sentimental and appointed Stevie G but Chelsea and United have both beat them to it.

Where to even start with that lot...for a club like Real thats similar to our deadwood.

He's on €15mil a year...some reports were saying Madrid would accept just getting his wages off their books.

For a world class player thats not bad for a team trying to make the champions league.

I think we'll be aiming fot more long term players like Neres myself

I'd happily throw a contract worth 60 at him for the ability he'd bring, the attention we'd get and the fact it'd show we want to excel.
Pipe dream I know but we signed Kanchelskis lol

I think his injuries will start to catch up + he was playing senior football at 17 I think so that wont help.

A loan to get us into the champions league with his wages covered and to give him a platform for a permanent move could be ideal for us.

Cant see it but never know.

If it was Kancho again Id pay the money 20 fold.

Isco was incredible a few years ago and also at Malaga. Seems to have lost his way a bit. Probably worth swerving most of them with the better ones being unattainable. Real have a mammoth rebuilding job ahead of them.
 
I seen a piece on SSN ;ast night where they showed a possible starting 11 for Real Madrid with their new signings.
Benzema was name that stood out as missing from the starting 11.
However it was Varanne missing from it that really caught my eye.
If hes not going to be a regular he may look to move.
He would be a great signing for City or United and possibly cheaper than Harry Maguire

Yeah there was a ridiculous agenda against him. He put Liverpool out of the league cup at Anfield (only manager to win there), he started the league campaign very well, had a mini slump in the middle during which he made the league cup final, then finished strongly to get top 4 as well as winning the Europa. A far better first season than the likes of Pochettino or Klopp managed by the knives were out for him in the media as soon as it started not quite being perfect.

I hope Mourinho goes back there and wins everything just to troll the media.
