Villa really aren't learning from Fulham's summer last season are they? The difference being fulham actually bought some very good players too, i really don't understand why villa are paying obscene amounts for players who can't even pass as premier league proven. They could get loads of PL proven players for the fees they're paying.

I really like the look of Konza, btw. Went to a Brentford game last season and he was the standout player.

I don't know if he'll work at Villa because they will still struggle in relative terms I think, but he's a good player.

He should of started for the u23s in the euros. I’ve seen him a few times and he looks a great prospect.

Btw Brentford losing him but have bought great already. Just need to replace Sawyers and they will be top 2 easy.

Some of these signings showing just how pathetic ffp is, two year loans with obligations to buy
swapping keepers for near identical transfer fees,
systems a joke designed to keep top clubs at the top
And how are newly promoted clubs spending near 100mill on players?
Madness

Villas owners are minted. So is Fulhams.

Means squat, as we know.

Aye but isn't ffp supposed to stop teams spending a fortune?

Over a period of time yes. Villa owners know for a fact that next summer a big juicy Sky cheque will arrive, so plan on spending now to make sure they get more than 1 of them.

Wolves did similar in the Championship; IF they didnt get promoted the year they did, they would have had a huge FFP issue with the EFL. If they get relegated they still might do; not certain what the run off period is.

I've never really been able to form a strong opinion on Griezmann, but I imagine I'll catch a bit more of him now that he's at Barcelona.

I'm guessing that he'll play on the left of a three up front, so surely they're not going to spend out on Neymar, too.

I read somewhere that they might play Griezmann in a deeper position if Neymar arrives, too. I'd find the link but I'm not sure how.

Are there any real potential consequences for clubs that aren't ever going to be in Europe anyway?
