Yeah, we're pretty pleased, he was very good when he first went to Arsenal and he holds the record for scoring in the most consecutive CL games...6 with Bordeaux. (A record he is unlikely to break with us lol!)
The next deal that needs to go through is Bale to Real Madrid before next Sunday lunchtime please!

You think you need to do a bit more business or you happy with what you've got?
 

We need more. The business we have done is good, Campana and Gayle are good young talents, Chamakh, as you say, should get goals. I think we need another decent striker (linked with Bent and Odemwingie still) and I'm worried that there is not enough cover at Centre Back, particularly when injuries and suspensions kick in. We trying to strengthen and not do a QPR and so far we seem to be doing OK. You don't get all the dough up front and (let's be fair) Selhurst needed, (and has had) a bit of a spruce up. We'll give it our all and hope it's enough. There will be a few black days, but just over 3 years ago we were 24 hours from going bust. A bit of perspective will be required I think!
 
Gary Medel's signed for Cardiff -- exactly the player we need.

It's depressing seeing newly/recently promoted teams outspend us massively. I'm used to the teams around us doing it, but this is another low.
 

i wouldn't be surprised if cardiff have spent more than us for a few years now. Their constant bottling prevented a promotion which should have happened years ago when you see what they've spent. Think they would have been wiser buying more bodies rather than 3 big signings.

I though medel was being linked to us at around £6m as well, £11m?

We have had four 5th place and two 4th place finished in the last eight seasons.

Bale, Modric, Van Der Vaart, Lloris, Berbatov i could go on and on and on of other high high calibre players you've had over the last 5 seasons. And that's not even first XI terms, this depth goes right throughout the squad.

If i listed arsenal's it wouldn't be half as impressive, especially not in squad terms.

Honestly now, comparing your squad with uniteds yours is better; without the fergie factor, it will be interesting to see if you finish above them, i really think you should if you're comparing the two teams at the moment.
