cabaye is just another arteta signing, it's not going to get them far. They need to sort their back line out, its way too easy for teams to score against them.

Taarabt - Complete enigma, 5 good games a season.

Bent - Will deffo be on the wane as his best years are behind him and he hasn't played regularly for years, he was a bit hit and miss at his best years ago.

Parker - Definition of average, and they already have Sidwell who's no lesser player but just hasn't played for the bigger teams like Parker lucked his way into doing so.

I think he's a good player, but not a player who would improve Arsenal at all really.

I think he suffered when Pardew went mad and bought half the population of France and sold Ba, their team changed immeasurably for me and he struggled to find his place in that new team.

Surely they're paying some kind of fee for the loans? As well as a large percentage of their hefty wages?

Hardly buttons i reckon.

For a couple of seasons now they have needed more or less their whole back line replaced, and a top class striker (not someone who has had one good season in the French league who costs £12m).

I think Giroud had a fairly promising 1st season in England, and will get better. Not sure if he can be as good as they need him to be, we'll see this year i suppose.
