I find the panic and blind jealousy of some posters mildly amusing.

they have every right ijjy. liverpool have spent £6.8m on a striker who has played a massive 7 games of high standard football with 0 goals. i'm guessing barca B aren't the worst team around and probably create loads of chances yet he scored 11 in 38. ffs everton! why can't you be more like them! i see they finished 8th but still

He is an attacking midfielder. Apparently scored 11 goals and 18 assists last season for Barca B in the Segunda Division. They finished 9th in the league. Pretty good stats but still unproven at the highest level and cost a fair bit of money. I guess we will find out how good he really is soon enough (could be brilliant or a total flop).

ah right i thought he was a striker. either way, he's played 7 games games for seville only! why would you splash £7m on someone who has proved absolutely nothing? even with their endless bucket of cash it's a massive gamble.

not sure how anyone can say he's a gem based on his experience

had we had any sense we should of brought Paulinho in at the earliest opportunity on the strength of the felliani money if the board are that convinced he's off

i agree mate, we should have paid £17m an a risk that may not work for a position which may not need strengthening, with the hope that someone would have eventually come in and offered us a sellable amount for our best player - makes perfect sence

I'm a bit of a phuckwit like so take what I say with a pinch of salt, but imo Fer would/will be better in the hussle and bustle of the PL

1, CM position needs strenghtening regardless

2, Kenwright basically auctioned off Felliani in the RM press conference

3, following from 2 Felliani is a top player one of the best in his position and if the board are willing to sell him which it looks like they are then he will be gone mate

A Spurs fan reckons that if they sign Paulinho that Livermore/Parker/Huddlestone will be available for sale. Doesn't reckon that Gylfi will be for sale...especially considering he was playing out wide i believe at times. I wouldn't take any of them unless Huddlestone was being sold for around £2 million. I've never really been impressed by him.

I think Huddlestone is a decent player myself, he made a difference when he came on at our game against you towards the back end of last season, but obviously you see him much more often. For £2m I'd be intrigued. He's not exactly mobile, though.

I don't see how a midfielder who isn't mobile will fit into our side now we have Martinez as a manager. You could argue Fellaini but i think he is more mobile than people give him credit for.

For some reason I read that as "As a Spurs fan". Apologies.

Maybe he wouldn't, but I think he's a decent player who isn't too dissimilar to Gibson. And yes I agree, Fellaini may take a little time to get off the mark but when he's in full stride he's actually fairly quick!

if we sell fellaini we use his money to buy his replacement. if he doesn't go we have him and gibson there with a few others as a backup so we probably need a cheap backup, yes. We don't need to be splashing £17m on paulinho to replace one of them or play as ACM when we have barkley, osman or naismith as options as opposed to a much needed striker(s), keeper and another winger
