Mad that. Surely Anzhi should have at least have tried to get him on the cheap. Not as if QPR are in a position to hold onto him with his 100k a week wages, and there can't have been many, if any, teams willing to pay him what he was on at QPR.

Too much money some of these days for a lot of teams.

PS the ****e: Toure, Migmolet, Aspas, Alberto all funded by 15m from Carroll and 6m for the awful Shelvey. That's four players in to replace two non-existant players, probably a larger outlay on wages but they haven't even needed to dip into an already-existing transfer fund. I expect them to shell out another 20/30m this summer yet.

Let's hope it's another season of upheaval next year, too many changes not enough time to gel and players shipped out again in January and end of the season.
