Dot think it'll have anything to do with who the manager is... It's all about the £££.

I'm sure Hazard etc all signed for Chelsea because they wanted to play for Di Matteo.

I'm sure Falcao and Cavani signed for PSG and Monaco on the back of their manager.

Same with all the City squad.

they're still one of the biggest clubs in the world, fairly sure they'll be able to attract top talent. Then again, most of their signings in the last few years seem to be the best of the prem as opposed to best in the world

Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see them go in for Modric. R. Madrid never seemed to be sure if he was a Xabi Alonso type player or an Ozil type player. With Isco and Ilaramendi arriving they've got another, younger one of each type. Also Ancellotti is apparently interested in keeping Kaka so I don't know how much Modric will play.

I don't think it's quite that simple. After all, Rooney is paid insane money by United. If they want a player, they'll pay properly for him.

Nope, I think players also consider the likelihood of future honours when making a choice between clubs.

The way I see it:

Chelsea: London, rich owner, talented squad, proven winners of major honours, superstar manager.

Man City: Ridiculously rich, proven European manager, no possible chance of decline in near future.

Man Utd: Great heritage, unproven manager, squad in upheaval, no recent examples of a spending splurge to compete, unknown immediate future.


Given the choice, I'd be going to Chelsea or City.

I cant believe that bid is genuine, £10m plus Mata would have been snapped up at once.
