Never, he was their star man in midfield last season. Had a few injuries though. Going to be tough for him to play though with Gotze now there.

Liverpool fans getting excited that they might be signing Shaqiri on a swap from Bayern for Suarez. Bayern said Shaqiri won't leave. He is a damn quality player too.

Nope, I think players also consider the likelihood of future honours when making a choice between clubs.

The way I see it:

Chelsea: London, rich owner, talented squad, proven winners of major honours, superstar manager.

Man City: Ridiculously rich, proven European manager, no possible chance of decline in near future.

Man Utd: Great heritage, unproven manager, squad in upheaval, no recent examples of a spending splurge to compete, unknown immediate future.


Given the choice, I'd be going to Chelsea or City.

At the moment, but I'm talking about previous years when the manager wasn't a decider in the transfer. No player goes to another club because they want to follow a manager... Unless you're Mourinho.

All 3 clubs are in a transition IMO. Moruniho is on about selling Mata, their most important player. Doesn't have the strike force to win the league, and the pool of strikers to buy is drying up - hence their bid for Rooney.

Cited are up in the air massively. New manager but able to cut it in the Prem?

Bottom line will always be who bids the most. Rooney has just spat his dummy out because he's not their number 1 striker. Will go anywhere that will pay him his wages and stroke his ego.

Chelsea haven't offered Mata or Luiz for Rooney, apparently the story was leaked from Man utd...
 
Thought it was a bit OTT for Chelsea to offer 10m plus a 25 million player.

Rooney should go for 20m tops. I wonder what they'll end up selling him for.

Perhaps, but there's good reason why Chelsea wouldn't want it out there that they're offering their current players up as part of the transfer.
 
Though generally I think that any rumors out there that involve a player swap are usually utter crap, even moreso than the normal rumors.
 
United chief exec leaving Australia to come back and conclude a signing for them according to SSN.

Hope its Fabregas and not one of ours.
