His performances at left back are totally irrelevant mate. He was utterly boss last season and had been a good player for the two years prior to that.

I think it was the Mirror who reported it, so quite likely paper talk but a few other sites are running the same story. They value the total package at £100m.

This is correct, the difference between us and spurs last year was purely him. The amount of points he got alone was unbelievable, just kind of expected it in the end.
