2019/20 Oumar Niasse

Niasse has allegedly blocked loans.

He has also gone out on loan himself numerous times during his stay here.

People do not slate Sandro to the level of Niasse, never have done. He never gets called our worst ever player when he has actually done less than Niasse (and even less than Cuco Martina seeing as he was mentioned!)

He may be crap, he is not our worst ever player though, not even close, we have had players who have done absolutely nothing during their time here, Niasse has at least won us a game.

Kroldrup immediately springs to mind

Its not a defence though really, I have constantly said we need better.

I just think he gets a terrible rap from some of our fans and seems to have his own level of criticism compared to others that I find weird.

He is not good enough, loads of our players can (and have) fall into that category yet Niasse gets a weird level of vitriol. (Conversely he gets some who praise him a bit too much too).

He is an average player with poor technique but does have some useful attributes (work rate, decent shot on him, good movement etc). There are loads of them around. Its the competition winner and Ali Dia shouts that do my head in. He is 29 years old with a 12 year pro career behind him, he is obviously neither of those things.

Saying he is crap is fine (and true) but that's all he is.

Other people who get stuck like siggy Morgan delph etc etc at least can control a football

Mate, niasse is on a whole new level of bad. He's not even average he's a level behind poor. He's a comedy act

Niasse isn't even the worst striker currently on our books. Sandro is worse.

Nobody seems to have a go at Sandro though...
Sandro The prolific Goal scorer won’t play again for us, Teams for some reason take him on loan and do us a favour, where as oumar “can’t control a ball” is like a bad smell which won’t go away

I don't like getting personal and slating players, but there's no real option with most of our players being as bad as they are.

True, we should have won that game last night, as our performance deserved it. Even schnides played well. I believe 99% of players try their hardest on the pitch, but trying doesn't matter if you're just not a good footballer.

Oumar is a tryer, but he's just a painfully poor professional footballer. You can see it when he comes on; the tension and worry in his face because he is frightened to death at being found out that he can't play football. His touch is awful. some players in my son's under 8 team have a better first touch than him, and i'm not even joking.

we got him from Russia, and loaned him to Birmingham, so that's at least 3 top football coaches who believe Niasse offers something on the pitch, who actually believe he should be paid to play football. now, we're not professional coaches, but every last one of us knows this guy, at best, plays sunday league football if he's lucky. I keep asking myself how this is allowed to happen, and how poor the judgement is of these scouts and coaches who have recruited him.

someone mentioned in an earlier post the Brazilian guy who conned his way to Southampton under souness and was subbed after 20 mins when magnum realised the guy had never kicked a ball in his life. I feel the same every time I see Niasse play. Why is he playing in the premier league?

I don't like being this personal when it comes to players, but sometimes you've just gotta 'say what you see'.

can you say how many goals he scored for birmingham?? should google it ;)

It's not his fault he's crap. It's the fault of whoever acquired him for us.

I mean it is his fault that he’s crap - his lack of natural ability.

What’s not his fault is that we bought him and put him on a very good, long contract, and that now no one wants to buy him because 1) he’s crap, and 2) his Current contract Makes any offered contracts seem derisory to him.

If I was him I’d stay until the end of his contract too, he’s trying to secure his (and his kids/families) future. And maybe as a free agent he can get a contract not a million miles worse than the amazing one he’s on now.

Just, as a fan of the mug team that bought him, it gripes a little.

Oumar in his awfulness stands out as a symbol for some of the terrible players we have signed. The Echo, well known for its balanced journalism when it comes to Everton ((n)), has recently printed comments about certain Everton players, not just Oumar, they would never have dared to print before social media. Now, the sort of opinions which exist happily on forums like this, are appearing in print. I doubt very much if any players bother with the Echo. As someone else said, the knowledge that incompetents are being paid fortunes by Everton upsets a lot of fans and helps to set the negative tone. Come on Brands open the exit door and boot them out. Pay them off or whatever.
