2019/20 Oumar Niasse

While Oumar is undoubtedly not up to the level of football we want to be playing at, I dont think any Everton fan should be laying the blame at his door.

Bottom line is he was signed for a decent amount and given a contract that he never would have got anywhere else (rightly so). Yes, some should say he should want to play football above all else but his career is so short relatively speaking. Everyone on here will most likely have a career that hopefully lasts them until proper retirement age whereas Oumar's career span will only take him another few years so although he is earning fortunes now, he needs to make that last a lifetime and no doubt he will want to stay in the life he has become accustomed to.

Overall, Oumar is well within his rights to sit out the final year of his contract as the fault lies with Everton and specifically the people who thought he was worth the contract he was given. If he was given a contract that better matched his abilities, we would have been able to ship him out by now.

Another thing is that the lad has shown nothing but class for Everton with his attitude in the face of massive disrespect from Koeman and you never hear any rumours of him being a bad influence on the dressing room.

Hes a VERY shady character by all accounts.

so many things wrong with this,

firstly- football isn't a job until retirement age so he's allowed to sit on his arse for £70k a week, nonsense, you will retire from football in your mid thirties a multi multi millionaire and set for life at his current wages, so crying poverty once he retires would only be because he has wasted all his money, he literally would never need to work again.

he is in right to see out his contract as you say we were stupid enough to give him one, but when people like Ashley Williams and yannick bolasie, mirallas etc etc are getting called leeches for not moving on but someone this absolute cart horse is lauded as some sort of icon is baffling, he's any bit as bad as the others mentioned

lastly, how has he shown nothing but class? I mean he's not kicked off which he could have but only massive bellwhiffs kick off anyway, he's just got his head down and continued training for the pleasure of £70k a week.

nothing against the lad what so ever, however the way he's made out by some is madness, utterly horrific player

How did this joker qualify for a work permit as a professional footballer.
How bad must Henry have been perceived if he couldn't get one even. Knowing our work permit system however and the spendthriftery on garbage, he probably got in due to the value of the transfer being above the threshold.

No problems with Oumar making out like a bandit. I do have one with giving him a contract.

I do not know how we couldn't find a way to get him out of the door with a portion of his wage paid in this last year of this contract to save some money and allow him to get game time - he has scored in the premier league and did well for Hull in his time there - that's better quality than is at a few premier league and championship clubs if he wanted to stay in England. I'm not even talking about him going on a permanent deal and getting money for him or anything that far-fetched.

Enjoy the money Oumar, I suppose you are earning it just by turning up and not causing a fuss. I should have such a job!

It's not just him
Klassen, bolasie, niasse, mirallas, Williams, Sandro, schneiderlin, Walcott tosun.

Your looking at losing well over 100m on these players
