Not eligible for a work permit either through normal channels. Unfortunately for us he got one.

One of our shadier transfers - 13 mill was very large for us at the time like you say, on an unknown player who had bounced a few in off his arse in the Russian league? Makes zero sense at all in football terms - I'm sure it made plenty of sense to whoever pocketed the agents fee.

Martinez certainly had the track record to pull the trigger on a signing this bad - he was garbage in the transfer market. But it doesn't really feel like the work of the Fraudulent one - you look at his wretched buys and it was largely just laziness and a failure of imagination, like buying a gang of yes-men from Wigan because he'd worked with them before. The Niasse signing was different gravy, where TF did that idea come from?

It was worth it all...every penny, for the look on the tulip munchers fat grid, when those 2 goals went in
Edit; you're right of course about who tf signed off on it a why...it'll come out eventually - it always does.

It would be nice to know that he could be useful for something.
