Yeah he could play himself into the team. But then again it begs the question, who does he replace? I can see him taking pressure of Rom at times to let him get a well needed rest, but as a regular starter your only really talking 3-4 people's places/ positions:- Lukaku, Lennon/ Gerri, Cleverley. ST, LM, RM being the 3 positions he's comfortable in? Cant see any of those being dropped any time soon, so he'll have to settle with a bit part, unless of course injuries change that

Hopefully we see some of him next week but I can understand why Martinez didn't include him today (yesterday) because he will need more than 3 days worth training sessions to get his sharpness before he's ready to thrown into a Premier League game. I mean just look at that Imbula for Stoke todaym, he badly struggled and clearly Hughes made a mistake starting him so soon.
Hopefully it's not long before we see what he's about, surely he can't be McGeady levels of unfit.

I only saw up until the 65 minute mark because I had to go to work but he looked a deer in the headlights to me, maybe the appalling weather was a big culture shock or he's just really unfit and shouldn't have been playing? Their MOTM really though? Butland single-handedly kept it from being a cricket score.

Fully agree that he should be introduced gradually. Apart from fitness and fitting into the team, the EPL is notoriously difficult to adapt to.
Looking at the longer term, it might be handy that we have a fresh forward who will not be in the Euros in the summer.

Can't see him coming in and adapting to the league and our style of play straight away.we are now playing well so as much as I want to see him I hope he just gets bit time when we are either cruising or things are going badly wrong.he will get plenty of minutes if we play like we did today and putting games to bed by half time.if not then ease him in slowly and he's more for next season in my opinion.unless he turns out utter tripe then he can do one.
