Why are people expecting a player whos not played since December the 10th to be up to speed for the PREMIER LEAGUE two weeks after signing? Add to that he had a wrist problem before signing and weekend just gone his missus gave birth to his child.

Haha.... perfect
some expectations are beyond belief

Watched the press conference live and couldn't tell whether his "hand" or his "ham" was injured haha.

Wasn't the only one as a journo asked to clarify.

But yeah he had surgery on his wrist and should be available in March.

FFS there's something we aren't being told about this lad - don't know if he's not good enough or just not match fit but it will be over a month since we bought him before he might be in the matchday squad.

Jelavic didn't make his full debut for us until mid-March.

He played about 15 minutes against Wigan away in February and then was out for a month.

Just as an example.

Niassie is our new Summer signing. Surely we could have bought him then, and bought some paint instead of paying his wages?

Just did a little research ..... Lokomotiv Moscow played in the Europa League Round of 32 on Tuesday night, so if he had not signed for Everton, then Oumar Niasse would have been expected to be fully fit and ready by now - at his old club, let alone at a new club who is in mid-season and needing to impress .... or am I being unreasonable here? So this bollocks about "well, he hasn't played since December" is a little tenuous and completely redundant..... wrist injury or no wrist injury, he should be fit

People seem to be under the illusion as well that all the players have from early December until march off for holidays or the like, they have 3/4 weeks off tops then by around the 11th of January are back in a mid season training camp and start playing friendly matches to get back up to speed, he will have been a few weeks into that already and likely have played 3-4 games - effectively a pre season during the break, something smells fishier than a Finnish lass here

the reaction to this signing, is evidence of the current impatient 'want it now' aspect of our fan-base...

Mate the blokes probably been paid upwards of 200k since arriving and is our third biggest signing ever - is it too unreasonable that people would like to see him play whilst theirs still something to play for this season?

Just to note how long did it take us to see Barry and Lukaku play for us the first season they arrived - during the season and both having been frozen out of the pre season/ start of the league season by their clubs?
