Yeh maybe austin was a bad example, but it seems like we're just replacing a naismith for a more expensive naismith. I hope if it does come off I'm proved very wrong. He's won player of the eyar in the russian league which is something I guess.

Naismith can't lead the line, was pretty rubbish in every position other than his preferred one and physically doesn't offer any of the pace or power this lad does. His best attributes were finishing and work rate. This lad has that plus other stuff, if he costs an extra £5m then it seems worth it to me.

Time will tell though. I just think we need to let Bobby handle it when it comes to signings. His record is superb. It's the small matters of coaching and tactics that let him down....

No, you're right I haven't. But I've never heard of him and like to think I know a fair bit about football. At 13.5 mill I'd expect us to sign someone with a bit of a reputation. I'm trying to have a civilised debate here, so would appreciate a more cultured response than 'you utter quilt.'

He's started two games this season in his proper position (striker) for us and scored both times.

How many non premiership players have Everton signed over the years that you have heard of? Besic? Mori? Mirallas? Oviedo? Galloway? Coleman? Stones? You getting the picture yet?

civilised means polite and good mannered, the way I'm conducting myself is civilised is it not? I'm not name calling or undermining someone else's opinion in a demeaning manner. You wonder why people lurk and don't post if when they do they get abuse.

There are lots yes, but how many have we spent 13.5 million on, none. It is a lot of money. Of the list above that you mention funes mori is probably the only one that went straight into the 1st eleven that I hadn't watched/been aware of before joining. So thank you for telling me what I did and didn't know.

I had a brief look on football manager which more often than not is a very trustworthy gauge of an individuals ability and he doesn't appear on there to be a hidden gem. So I am basing my judgement on something, but again, you seem to know what I think and know better than I do.
