No mate

You clearly stated FM has a 99% success rate rate on players basically leaving no area for signing a dud

Why would Everton scout a single player if FM gets it right nearly 100%

0.5% of hundreds of thousands of players means there are still a lot they don't get spot on. Hence why the bigger clubs have their own scouts that they trust. Look at per kroldrup, our scouts must of rated him, that was a subjective rating. Maybe on FM they didn't, I can't remember, but thats just an example.

Im a big fan of the game, havent played it for a few years, but the attention to detail and work they do is superb, I just dont regard it as the holy bible of football players, its flawed, in many, many different ways.

surely that makes it more likely to be like the holy bible, than less?

I played FM a lot mate, im aware of its "success rate", they often got more wrong than right, cos at the end of the day, football isnt a series of numbers entered into a computer, its an ever changing sport.

they can't have got more wrong than right otherwise no one would buy the game as it wouldn't be realistic! There's thousands of players in loads of leagues we don't look at/care about that they probably got spot on. Anyway as I said to Darth, scouting is all subjective, one person may rate a player someone else doesn't so it is a never ending argument. Look at this forum, some people rate players others dont! That's football.

When i played it years ago i ended up with Messi in the second division in Spain, he was absolutely awful but had great technique, got him at like 28 for 30k

There's 92 league clubs in the UK, let's say each club has 25 players, That's 2300

99% succes rate would mean they are wrong about 23 of those players

OK MATE

Little newsflash here mate.

People dont play computer games for realism.

I think in the past few years we've had a bit of sweet (Naisy and the homeless, Gerry and the lad with cerebral palsy), a sprinkling of sour (Eto'o and Distin sulking), our fair share of salt in the wounds (the cup semi, the endless snatching of defeat from the jaws of victory) and as always we remain staunchly bitter.

Clearly what we're missing is a bit of Oumarmi.

Yes but you said 99% of the time they get it right

Buzzing off someone thinking Footy Manager is 99% accurate.
It'd be unlikely to be 75% let alone freaking 99%.
I've played far too much for my own good, but its only an approximation of reality, not actually football itself.

Sympathetic like because 99% won't have a clue what you are talking about :)
