Weirdest signing ever this. It's so weird, that I'm almost convinced now that he's not being played for more than 10 mins at a time just to hide how poor he is trying to weave the illusion that he wasn't a bad purchase. Terrible signing so far, a £13.5m player should be able to hit the ground running. Don't buy it one bit that he's not fit.

Dont need to give the lad 6 months either to determine whether he has technique or not, he clearly doesn't. He's clumsy and at the age of 25 still 'raw'. He might still be able to offer us something in the future but I've got a feeling any new manager will try and get shut of him in the summer.

A locomotive fan came on here and said he looked ungainly but was effective. Raw in itself would be correct as its been highlighted that he never had professional coaching in his youth/teens.

If he is a dud then it wont be easy to shift him as his mrs works in manchester.

I wonder who compiled the scouting reports on him given hes variously been described as being un-coached, clumsy, raw and disturbingly unfit for a January buy. Im no medic, but additionally, why does a lingering wrist problem render him being so unfit ? Its appallingly profligate to seemingly pee 13m up the wall when the club was hardly flush. Think its about time we were told the score on the fella instead of the dog-eared sicknote from RM.

I think he's going to play better than people expect when he's actually given a chance to start a game. I know it's only a highlights video but he doesn't look as bad as the reports are suggesting. Maybe he just doesn't train well.

Fingers crossed. lol

I would give martinez slightly less grief if he started the lad very soon.

You know, the old 'form isn't great, we are struggling to win, so how about i play my 13 million pound attacker i recently signed and see if that makes a difference?'

The signing of this guy has caused even more concern in regards to Martinez's position going forward.
13m and almost 3 months into his career here and he has been a disaster, his appearances have had a detrimental effect on games.

Indeed. It's not like throwing some rookie academy player in as a last resort, this guy is something like our 3rd most expensive signing isn't he?! Beggars belief the way it's been handled so far.

it amazes me that neither him nor kone are even getting onto the pitch when we havent been winning. It seems to be a rotation of winger / defender / midfielder every week as subs, if we are lucky to see 3 of them. so cleverley/del/mirallas/stones/mori are pretty much our only options for substitutes when we aren't winning.

that hopefully will be the thing we look back on as a massive indicator that his time was up, not using strikers to try and win the game.

Niasse runs like Forrest Gump - when he had the leg braces!

Even the way he was closing down players, turning the wrong way like some sorta basketball player; it reminds me of the lad who plays 5-a-sides for "fitness", and has zero ability.

Some say he is clumsy and awkward. I just think he isn't a footballer at all!

Has anyone got a link to the recent 90mins he played for Senegal, or a full game for Lokomotiv? Really really worrying this transfer.

I said from day 1 he should be given at least 6months, which I will change now and say he should be given till Xmas.

Despite my words, im not writing him off.

Im just saying, here and now, we signed a player 2 months ago with a minor wrist injury, hes still not fully fit, people I trust have told me hes utterly horrific in training, our own players use words like raw to describe him, a 25 year old, called raw? The signs are very unpromising, but your right Mikey, its not the end yet, im just very worried we have bought an utter donkey.

Still hoping to be vaulted by you on this mate, sadly think it's more likely to turn out the same way i said McGeady would do.

Unless a player has absolutely torn up the league in Russia/Ukraine they are just massive risks, especially so when they look to have some serious flaws that are apparent even at that level...

Love how all the experts on here can judge a player on just over 23 minutes in total. Il pass judgement on him when he actually starts a few games n gets a run. If he not up to it then so be it.

he didn't, he looked terrible because he was and is terrible

Tad harsh that. Not the most gifted a footballers but always put a shift in, and wern't afeared to open his gob (Take note Jagielka).

I was ok with the £8m we got for him, but given the choice (And I know it's early days with Niasse) I'm starting to wonder...
