Have to say im not thrilled with this one which is odd for me as I have lots of faith in martinez when it comes to spending money.

Seems such an odd signing.

He has a really good burst of pace which is needed in this league, has huge confidence in himself by a few interviews I have heard with him, in a lower standard league he does what you would expect a striker to do and scores/provides assists, supposed to be a good hard working player and good to play with as well - not selfish etc, the weaker parts of his game haven't needed to be improved in this league as the standard is low enough he can get away with those flaws - 'maybe' in a much tougher league he can improve those when he has to do.

That's my glass half full version of him mate

What he will bring is someone who works his arse off for the team and has a good engine on him - which just on those alone will buy him some time to settle with the fans.

We signed him for 5-6m I'd be fine with it overall, just think we are overpaying by a decent margin for what he really should be worth mate

He didn't appear to have a lot to beat in the clips I saw. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the Premier League, with not much space nor time. At £13.5 m, it's not in my opinion money 'well spent'. I wonder why the others ( Man Utd, Chelsea etc) dropped their interest?

I've only seen his Scoutnation highlights, but looks like better cover for Lukaku than we had. Decent pace, good finish. Reviews all mention "hard worker", which is another plus. I also get buying players who play in more than one position, though it hasn't escaped me that he's another right-footed player when most of us agree we need more natural left-sided players.
