Plenty of transfers go wrong and you end up with a bad player. It happens.

However this at the time was our second most expensive transfer.. Ever

So you'd think we'd have made SURE this guy was atleast half decent. It's not as if he's bad, he's absolutely shocking.. That's what makes the whole transfer so strange how we could get it so wrong
Lukaku, Fellaini were more.. McCarthy too??

Whoever said that Koeman seemed angry in the press conference and that Niasse could just be sitting on his 50k (reportedly?) a week could just be spot on here....

Imagine being told you've got a limit on wages and he's now eating up a decent portion for the foreseeable future. Koeman could use that money to either sign another player or increase the wage offer to a top target but sadly were proper Niassed.

Ryazantsev will sort this. He'll be "given an opportunity" to go out on loan. To Hull.

Or somewhere in Siberia if he says no.

Well unless you can sack him for breach of contract (which I'm guessing would have happened by now) if he wants to sit on it we're a bit stuffed, doubt any other team would match his wages let alone up them.

Thought he might go to Palace with the Bolasie deal but clearly that died a death

Like you said, utterly Niassed.

Cannot be just football ability alone for him to be jettisoned from the squad and publicly executed by Koeman.

Rumours that he was difficult to engage with and did not follow instructions in training. Combine that apparent arrogance with being an utterly terrible footballer and he is better off being frozen out than causing disruption to the squad harmony. Worth throwing £10m down the toilet if the result is a happy and motivated squad.

I doubt we will ever be rid of this balloon while he is under contract.

Guessing if we have absolutely no chance if getting rid then at a point we would just terminate the contract and get rid.

Unfortunately I think we are going to terminate his contract on terms which will be favourable to him. Martinez has really shafted us here, £13.5 mill to buy him, a small fortune in wages for him to sit on his Niasse and then a big pay off.

If we can't find a suitor who'll pay his wages or a significant share of it by penultimate day of the window, then I'd send him out on loan anyway.

I'd even consider covering as much as 80-90% of his wages as at least he may adapt to the English game and eventually find a suitor.

As if we leave him to dwindle in the abyss of the youth squads then we'll never regain any of the original outlay; even if it's a small aspect of it.

I doubt he will be allowed near the youth squads. He is out.
He either sits at home picking up wages or leaves.
If he does option 1 he will basically be retiring from football, although I am not convinced he is a footballer.

We should put in one of those clauses in his contract if he's sent out on loan. But while other teams usually ensure their players doesn't play against the parent team, we should insist Niasse plays the full 90 minutes against us.
