I keep hoping that he is joining somebody else when his name is near the top of the forum. Can't believe we signed him.

Oh please...

If Oumar Niasse was in any doubt about his Everton future before today, he surely can't be now?

As assessments go, Ronald Koeman's was withering. If the £13.5m striker wants to play football, he said, he needs to leave Goodison Park.

Subtle. They'll be changing the locks at Finch Farm next. In fact, judging by Niasse's absence from training pictures of late, they probably already have.

Anyway, Niasse is persona non grata at Everton, but could he find a home on Humberside?

A report in the Daily Mail suggests Hull City, who made a flying start to life back in the Premier League last weekend, have opened talks over a potential deal for Niasse.

Hull City's Nikica Jelavic scores their second goal

Hull are generous with Everton, of course, having paid actual money to take Nikica Jelavic off the Blues' hands a couple of years ago. Jelavic, typically, scored against Everton the first chance he got.

Hull have been struggling to bring in players and are reported to have held talks this week with Cameroon forward Benjamin Moukandjo at Lorient and Hungary international Nemanja Nikolic at Legia Warsaw. Niasse, then, is another name in the frame.

As if Tigers fans weren't angry enough!

Koeman tells Niasse - Leave Everton if you want to play football

Ronald Koeman says Everton need another goalkeeper - but won't confirm Hart interest

Elsewhere, reports in France suggest Rachid Ghezzal, featured on these pages earlier in the week, could be set to get a new contract at Lyon.

Le Parisien reports that the Ligue 1 club and the player are currently in talks over a new deal, with Lyon offering him £40k/week.

Mind you, as well as doing that, Lyon are also negotiating with Everton over a potential transfer, with Jean-Michel Aulas wanting around €10m for his talented winger.

Busy times. At least for the rumour mill.

I will admit I laughed at these bits:

There's no doubt about that. Lukaku came out and called him "raw" after his first few training sessions, which is professional code for "absolutely awful".

You are mistaken mate. It was "raw, really raw, but powerful"

I think he was trying to make it sound kind of like a compliment
