If he's that bad and yet has scored 6 goals in 6games like @blueloon says then that means hes getting unmissable chances laid on to him by players.

Its them who should be in the 1st team.

...I don't know, Mate, it's difficult to judge without seeing him properly at top level. He's certainly a decent athlete, quite pacy and that will get him a number of goals but I think he would technically struggle joining in with much better players. The Russians paid 5m Euros for him, I'd be surprised if anybody was prepared to pay much more than that.

I fear we'd have to pay up a lot of his contract before he agreed to move.

How did an established experienced football club like ourselves get mugged by this transfer? Did the scouts just watch youtube instead of actually going over there to watch him properly.

..folk are asking if we were actually 'mugged' or whether some shady dealing has gone on.

Prob about 1 million for a player who would score goals in League 1 - guessing really but a team like Bolton, say, who prob have the ambition for promotion, and are in the NW where Oumar is based, might be the type to pick him up.

It's all academic anyway as has been pointed out. I'd like to take a voluntary 90% pay cut - said no one ever since the dawn of time.

...yep, somebody pay us £2m and pay him £1m signing fee, we hand over the £2m to him and he'd probably think about going. Not a bad time to be a footballer.

I'm reminded of when he signed. If my memory is right, we offered terms and he left FF for a couple of hours to "think about it" before returning to sign just as the window closed. I suspect he was champing at the bit to sign, it's all very odd.

This seems to be an underlining theme I've seen elsewhere , I'm intrigued by it but haven't seen any real suggestions as to how it happened, why we would participate and if so what we got out if it. It is an odd one. Mind you I and many others thought we'd overpaid by about £10 mill when Lukaku was signed.
