Disgraceful the way he's been treated IMO. Not even given a locker, treated like a naughty school kid.

I hope I'm wrong but I think this is a sign of things to come. The new regime is ruthless and lacks class which is one thing our great club has prided itself on over the years. Not any more.

Something in that I think, look at the way great servants Ozzie and Hibbo were treated.

@BigDunc'sFod

There's a certain way to treat people, no matter how good or bad they are at their job. Everton were the last club I'd expect to cast long time servants aside with nothing more than a text message. Cheers for all the years eh lads?

Hibbert was so enraged that he saw it fit to report to a newspaper. Probably not the brightest idea in hindsight but he was clearly very upset by it all.

I don't like it. Not one bit.

Both got testamonials and were out of contract. I'd assume unless you'd been offered a contract you understood that when your last day was up then you're out.

Could it have been handled better? Sure. Niasse could have handled his situation better though rather than digging his heels in and getting paid 50k p/w to play with kids.

Gibson is an example of what happens when you stick to classy principles.

I just think the club has forgotten its values and instead of looking after its own it's turned in to just another greedy corporate machine. This isn't the same Everton that I grew up with. The Everton I grew up with is slowly dying.

You know he'll be back...

highly doubt hull will be paying £10m after they see him after a few months. Surely we could have got some club around the world to pay us about £6m for him now in a desperate attempt after no scouting?

Think its daft on our part to have not asked for £5-6 million rather than £10. If he bombs at Hull they might have still paid the lower figures in the hope of him being somewhat useful in the championship against lesser defences. Would rather £5-6 million than them saying no and having to part with him to some Turkish side for a pittance/2 season loan.

well it seems only £10m if they wish to buy at the end of the loan, which is fair enough on our point, that's the maximum we could ask for without taking the piss. Still the possibility to re-negotiate to get the amount you state in the summer, although i don't think hull's owners are willing to spend much tbh. Boss has only been there 2 days, so it's a bit odd.

I can't see why we couldn't have waited until the end of the window when teams (especially down the bottom) are scurrying around trying to buy anything available. He's not registered for our first team squad so it's not exactly need him out to bring someone in, perhaps just shocked someone wanted him so we jumped at it ha

Its nailed on the lad will get a reasonable amount of goals, even at Hull. If nothing else I hope it puts him in the shop window for a permanent move elsewhere. The lad just wants to play football - we bought him, he didn't force us to pay the transfer and wages. The fault of signing Oumar lies firmly at somebody elses feet.

Good luck Oumar....go smash in some goals.

Are we not talking about someone who knocked his missus around?

Actually your attitude is similar to some longtime Man City fans I know, when they first got the big money from the sheiks. They felt that the traditional club they supported was changing beyond recognition, and they didn't like a lot of what was happening, because it wasn't 'their City' any more. Very quickly, however, they decided it was just life moving on, and they might as well sit back and enjoy the ride. Do we want traditional Everton and never winning silverware ever again, or do we want to support a well oiled, rich, corporate machine and win regular trophies? There's only one answer to that...because winning trophies is the bottom line of what its all about.
