Oumar Niasse

Who amongst us would place a substantial wager on him coming good. I wouldn't. In my opinion he will be back at Goodison before the loan period is up and we will be back trying to sell him in the summer.
I can see him sitting out his contract and then moving to some minor league.
He is definitely not a better signing than Torres, I struggle to think of anyone who is a worse signing.
Maybe a good thread/poll; Players who have been a worse signing than Niasse.

I actually believe Brett Angel was a better footballer than Naisse and cannot believe anyone who thinks this guy will make it at this level.

The guy is an absolute puddin'

Is he even our worst signing?

Kroldrup must rank high in that list.

Alex Nyarko as well.

Torres was definitely a worse "January" signing.

Torres was signed at a time when he was one of the best, if not the best, striker in the world.

He flopped miserably.

Omar has flopped so far, but he was a no mark player very few had even heard off before.

It is not just about what a player does on the pitch when he signs, and to be fair to Niasse, he has not been given much of a chance here.......it is about the status of the player and the expectation surrounding the transfer.

Torres was brought to Chelsea in a fanfare of trumpets at more than three times the fee we paid for Niasse and in an era when money was not bandied about the way it is being now.....Torres woukd have cost £100 million in today's Klondyke.

Besides.....maybe Omar ain't done here yet.

He might prove a revelation at Hull and be back here and banging 'me in for fun this time next year

Torres cost £50m yeah, but he also actually did things for Chelsea. He nowhere near justified his price tag, but he contributed bits here and there, pretty big contributions as well. Niasse has never and will never contribute a thing for us. We literally may as well have stuck £13m in raw cash down the toilet.
