Oumar Niasse

The former was fighting for his job and really didn't have the luxury of getting him experience. The latter just came in and wanted to show everyone who's boss.

Niasse's 1st touch is about as good as Rom's is when Rom has a 0.20 blood alcohol level. However his positioning is pretty good and he can obviously slot. If Niasse is your No.2 striker then that's not really a bad situation to have.
And today's news changes this calculus. That said, don't reckon he'd want to come back after the way we treated him.

Hull would be mad to not pay 10m for him, clubs not exactly a top draw for strikers and he is showing he can do something for them at the level they play at.

He seems to score goals. He scored in Russia. He scored for the U23s. He scoring for Hull. He looked clumsy when he played for us, with the touch of an elephant, but he seems to have gotten over that nagging wrist injury, and is up to speed now.

As long as Koeman is in charge here, the chances of him ever wearing the royal blue are slim and none. Somehow he, or his manager, managed to get on the wrong side of two very different Everton managers. Just what happened will probably remain a mystery.

The result yesterday also added value to Niasse.

He could have made a difference in the game yesterday when it was 1-0. They looked utterly toothless without him.

We will get our outlay back for him which is a far cry from what would have been expected in December.
