What you said above is true.

However....the way he handled Niasse was in my mind, unprofessional, especially for a club such as Everton. There are ways to handle players and to let them know they're surplus to requirements. Koeman messed up on this one and badly.

I'm not super shook up about it, but I think you're right. And, it's not so easy to negotiate his transfer when we could hardly have done anything more to make it clear we don't value him.

I always had a soft spot for him. Always positive, always a gentleman. And his stint is as close as we're ever likely to get to manifesting what it would look like if I was ever invited to don the royal blue.

You yourself have stated a manager is responsible for all his incomings.
 

The alleged assault charges last May did not helped his cause. And Everton Football Club as whole would have wanted as much distance between them and one of their expensive employees who was bringing the club into distribute with his personal actions at the time.
