It was never a penalty let’s be honest. By the same token, a ban for Niasse would be ludicrous. He made the most out of minimal contact, which happens several times in every game.

Its annoying that when a top 6 player goes down - eg Sterling - there was contact so he was entitled to go down & it was the defenders fault for giving the ref a decision to make - but when a non top 6 player goes down - minimal contact, dived & ban him.

I really don't get this. Yeah he made the most of it but if fat Scott Dann can't get his fat wedge out of the way quick enough then that's his problem.

Dann is diverting, so that people wont blame him for being at fault for both goals

There was contact and it was a foul, but he should have dived backwards. Would've looked better.

Sadly, its a modern day penalty. There seems to be some unwritten rule that if the striker feels contact he has the right to go down.
Clearly, its not enough contact to make any fully grown man to be knocked over.

There was an elbow put across by dann, but it was a very soft pen if that was given V us i would be fuming - as soon as the elbow went across Niasie was like bambi on icelol

Yes like Lennons away v Leicester taken out good style with the assistant ref ignoring a blatant pen - we have now had two pens in two weeks catching up with that team over the park at last

Going by the comments in the papers, over the so called dive, I think our Niasse is heading for a ban.

If Niasse does get a ban then it will just go to show what a farce that panel will end up being considering they cleared Richarlison's alleged dive against Arsenal to win a pen for Watford late on in the game.

Not the best view of the incident in this vid, but you can see there is clearly minimal contact.
