2017/18 Oumar Niasse

Going by the comments in the papers, over the so called dive, I think our Niasse is heading for a ban.

Thing is:

A) There was an intent to impede / obstruct
B) There was contact.

For years everyone has argued contact doesn't need to be on the legs to topple someone over at speed. Yes it was hugely exaggerated, but a foul is a foul, and obstruction is a foul.

Guess we'll see what happens in due course!

if that is given against us we are absolutely fuming and rightly so, football is a contact game and even though he did make contact theirs not a chance it was enough contact for niasse to go down

it is what it is, you get them for and against you throughout the season and that's one for us

Think I read somewhere it will be today ?

I see that filthy, cheating, rs arse-licking, corrupt ref Clattenburg says Niasse should be punished for simulation. An unbiased view of course?

Pundits are always saying that if there is contact in the box then they have a right to go down. There was contact but maybe niasse didn't go down as nicely as he should.

It was never a penalty let’s be honest. By the same token, a ban for Niasse would be ludicrous. He made the most out of minimal contact, which happens several times in every game.

It was clearly a peno.

I really don't get this. Yeah he made the most of it but if fat Scott Dann can't get his fat wedge out of the way quick enough then that's his problem.
