Of course.

I've heard that nobhead Shearer hundreds of times saying "if a defender is that stupid to leave a foot there I'm going to punish that stupidity".

It's all bollocks.
Exactly my thoughts when I heard him say that. Did you also notice Lineker creaming himself because the top 6 were on MOTD. Go back a few weeks and he said something like 'we have a special programme tonight with the top 6 playing'. When did the BBC become Sky?

It's a penalty all day long though. I don't even understand the discussion on it. It's clear obstruction.

I'm not one for the blue-tinted spectacles - if it's a dive, I call it a dive. But this one isn't even a "soft" pen; he's cut across him and made no attempt for the ball.
You wouldn't last long as a RS supporter on RAWK.

Y'all have lost'ya dam minds if you think Niasse has a cheating bone in his body.

Preach!

There was contact, he went to ground, and landed on his back. The pace he was moving at could look like he has thrown himself, but when you get blocked, you don’t just stop dead in the tracks. He didn’t roll around and the ref had pointed before he even sat up.

Yes it’s a soft pen, but that’s the nature of the game nowadays. But he saying he dived or cheated is ridiculous. Dann shouldn’t have stepped across him. Simple as that.

He really does, doesn't he.

If he had been born in a stable in Bethlehem circa 2000 odd years ago he would have been turning water into wine
And he was sacrificed and crucified by the Prefect of Merseyside Ronaldus Koemannus & he rose again in the third season and forgave him....oh wow!

Honestly......

Well if we are all honest with ourselves, when was the last time we saw a player work as hard for the shirt as niasse does every single chance he gets? Cahill comes to mind as an answer but even he was a rare commodity. This lad isn't the best striker in the league and certainly not the level of striker really that we need.

I tell you what though, I'd play this lad every single game right now. Someone willing to chase lost balls and run all game for the team? Considering how little passion we have at the club, niasse is one player us fans can get behind. I was absolutely made up him scoring against bournemouth and winning us the game. I wrote him off before then, as a novelty act so to speak and thought the idea of him scoring was more funny than anything. He proved me wrong, won the game through sheer determination built by 18 months of desperate to get a chance in this team. That's what I want to see in a blue shirt, 11 players who will run themselves into the ground and play for their shirt.

The wake up call for me was sunday. The entire team gave up after we went behind, the minute ozil put the ball past pickford all outfield players just gave up and conceded despite half an hour to play. In the 92nd minute niasse chases a lost cause and somehow gets the ball in the back of the net. A nothing goal really considering it was game over . Niasse ran back to the centre circle with the ball ready to get going again.

How can an entire team give up after an hour and yet this one player still wanted to try and win? That one little gesture to me reminded me in hindsight of what makes the badge on the shirt mean something, what we have lost since the 80s. Niasse still hadn't given up on the game when every single player , manager and fan had in goodison.

You can stick your expensive mercenaries up your arse, I'd personally get more enjoyment watching niasse play for the shirt than I would seeing some over priced striker come in right now. He isn't going to score 25 goals a season for us , but I think he has proven us all wrong so far and long may he continue doing so.

Said this a month ago. Niasse has flourished since then and the team has started scoring now he starts.

Funny what a little bit of fight in a player can do to the teams fortunes.......

He set the defenders and keepers under pressure with his tireless running, thats why he will score a lot of goals after defensive errors. Good lad, our Oumar!

12-15 league goals he will score, I reckon.

Best example for all of us : Never write a player off until he gets a propper chance!

I would like to make Oumar Niasse the movie.

Please tell me which actors you would like to play the following characters:
Oumar Niasse
Roberto Martinez
Ronald Koeman
Marco Silva
The Locker
