I've said it before. If they really want to stop cheating, by all means give it a go. Deceiving the ref shouldn't just be about game changing penalty incidents, how about players rolling round in agony when there's obviously been no contact, trying to get a fellow pro sent off? Arguably, that's a worst offence than last weekend. And it's something that is witnessed most weeks. An innocent player potentially getting a 3 game ban. We've seen red cards rescinded but the real instigator doesn't get punished for the OTT reaction. That should be as much, if not more a pressing concern than what we've seen this week.
Would like to see players who feign injury from head butts when the players just touch heads punished.

Hasn't it already? Dele Alli.

Not 100% sure but I don’t think Spurs have been awarded a penalty this season that means there hasn’t been a act of simulation by Ali or indeed any Spurs player that has deceived the ref into awarding a penalty since the new rule was introduced.

Are you saying that it's only an issue if the ref is fooled into giving something? Not sure that is sufficient if they really want to stop players cheating.

I’m not saying that but they can only retrospectively look at simulation when a penalty has been awarded or an opposition player has been dismissed as a consequence.
Personally I would like to see all instances of simulation dealt with by a suspension but stakeholders including Everton having been consulted voted for what we now have in place

Based on your answer then the answer to my question was Yes.
I wasn't asking for your opinion, I was asking for clarification of fact. You've explained it eloquently. Cheers.

Ok I was slightly distracted when reading your post, it’s all the excitement of the game that did it,
