Statements like "he wasn't even that bad for Hull" are exactly why he should be nowhere near the Everton squad.

No. He is a contracted employee of this club. Management hasn't handled this one very well IMO.

Very fair point. And it's hard to fault his professionalism in amongst all this. Certainly compared to one or two other club employees in recent times that I can think of.

..I've always thought there's more to this than it simply being a matter of him not being very good. I'd put this into the category of a transfer we shouldn't look too closely at for fear of uncovering something unsavoury. All parties involved at the time came out winners.

This could be as much why the current regime want nothing to do with the player as him being sub-standard.

..it's probably best being left well alone, which I think is a major reason the club want him to move out so they can move on.
