Think that's Goodison Rd with the corner shop on Goodison Avenue. The trams are coming off Walton Lane and going down Spellow Lane towards Walton tram station.Queues at a Goodison for the Cup tie v Liverpool Jan 1955. (75k crowd!) We got hammered but i cherish the photo because it captures my Dear old Dad queuing with my Uncle. If anyone remembers the game and the atmosphere at Goodison in this massive crowd would love to hear your memories. Lpool 2nd Div side but comfortably put us to the sword. 0-4

The main stand enclosure held almost 5k standing? Find that hard to believeThe old paddock terraces Bullens Road - which used to be all standing until the lower seating was put in mid 1960s -

It's only a small area after the Goodison road new grandstand our attendance capacity dropped to 55, 000 to 40,000 when the old Goodison road terracing went for that new Grandstand it cost a £ million back then - our record attendance in a derby game was 79,000, but the paddock was also all standing no lower stand - plus no H&S back then .... St John's ambulance would have been busy ....The main stand enclosure held almost 5k standing? Find that hard to believe
