Their fans seem to be a bit devastated. Sacking 13th seems harsh when you check out their league positions in the years they are in the 2nd now.

I haven't followed Stoke recently. But I remember them under Pulis or Hughes, they have become a joke.

He took them from bottom to safe midfield. But is this achievement good enough to become Everton manager?
Well the current incumbent has been relegated twice , so I’d say Schumacher exceeds the apparent requirements.

I know what you mean. Some clubs like Watford changed the manager too quickly, whereas Burnley is totally the opposite, they seem to prefer to long-time stability to give someone the chance to build up even, if it doesn't work out at first.

The question is how many managers would achieve 2 promotions/relegations in 8 years with a club coming up and being one of the worst constantly. This would happen to many managers at West Brom, Norwich or other size of clubs like Burnley that are lift teams?

He had money to spend at Burnley , comparative to many of the clubs around them.
Burnley gaining promotion was not some sort of miracle of management.

Yeah, but they somehow didn't spend enough in comparison to the league to go down with net assets of 100m+? No idea what was the point. I think he got stuck as many managers that stay at the same club for a longer time.

On paper it isn't but many teams proved it's not self-evident to come directly up again. The first one I don't know but it was a team that has been mid-field or even 3rd league expect one Season before Dyche took over since the 70s.

Am I the only one who thinks Davide Ancelotti could be shout if he'd be up for it?

Never actually managed a football club before... but neither did Arteta.

Been working with his dad for years at some of the biggest clubs in the world. Surely at least some of his experience has rubbed off on him in this time?

Actually spent time here as well, of course.

This is big Paul Clement logic (I'm not even that against it)

If Textor is legit, then in my view Moyes gets nowhere near Everton.
Yeah from memory weren’t there a bunch of issues at West Ham around recruitment with Moyes at odds with the hierarchy? Doesn’t sound like he’d dovetail with Textor’s vision at all.

I could see us maybe offering it to Moyes until the end of the season but I’m not sure why he’d accept.
