I think potter , tactics wise and the ability to trust and develop young players would be an ideal fit, its just that hes mentioned in the past hes been easily affected by fan discontent maybe do some boo training go to some brentford or southampton games in the stands as they despise brighton to toughen him up
Maybe what went on at chelsea has helped him, is a tough one really because of changing the style here. Just think potter maybe if was end of the season just would not have enough time to really change this here. Going be intersting to see what will hapoen with the takeover and dyche

i think they should put an advert out and get someone off the streets to do it personally. it wouldn’t cost them anything in comparison and at least they would put their heart and soul into it paying these managers millions due to being an ex player at all levels etc clearly doesn’t work for clubs like us so give it to someone who would be able to be in touch with the fans having been one and i bet they couldn’t do any worse then we are already doing. i’ve got loads of friends who manage teams and do well okay not with multi million pound players etc but doesn’t mean they couldn’t do it

carlo aside ( who’s managed in the prem)

we’ve tried the method of managers been in
this league

Potter’s Premier League record is pants, on the whole.

Exactly. No one was really frustrated with him back then. Can you imagine now though? A manager comes in gets us top half and then next season we’re 17th? This place would absolutely erupt.

After relegation battles under Lampard, and upcoming financial constraints, the backdrop is not really that different to when Moyes took over. We were circling the drain in financial difficulty on both occasions. Moyes got time and patience. Dyche has done a similar job (kept us up initially, progression the season after) yet is hounded.
17th, but never in danger of the drop. It was quite an exciting time as Rooney was coming through and there was hope. Anyway, we got fourth the next season!

My local asda

People’s memories of Potter are extremely short. His high point was a top ten finish. Everything before that was a bottom half Brighton team who couldn’t score and revelled in pointless possession. He had all the talent in the world at Chelsea and turned them into his neutered Brighton team.

He’d be an absolute disaster at this club, an absolute disaster. Can see Keane Coleman and Gueye bobbling it to each other as the crowd starts groaning even now.

Frank who finished just above the relegation zone last season after taking Brentford backwards? Who plays direct long ball football and scouting network extends to the championship and Denmark?

I actually quite like him but he’d be eaten alive by this place. Brentford can be really really bad.

I like Frank and think he’s a decent manager

But the fact is if he served up what he did last three seasons at Brentford here he’d be getting hounded out the club by the fans

Injuries are not an excuse at Everton (apparently).

I think the internet has largely made most fanbases poisonous now. Spurs fans want Postecoglou out now a mere 12 months after he was a ‘breath of fresh air’. His football is front foot all out attack but Spurs fans are sick and tired of it being predictable with no plan B.

What it comes down to is the football is largely irrelevant, results are all that matter and in this digital age unless you are Pep Guardiola winning every week then you are going to get slammed by fans who just cannot abide any sort of loss of face now. Even some City fans call Pep a bald fraud who tinkered too much in big games and termed Mahrez ‘ffs Mahrez’.

Whoever we get as a new manager he’s on an absolute hiding to nothing from the second we’re linked with him.
Lol. Nobody, NOBODY, can survive the cauldron of Everton Da's. Nobody, that is, except Sean "miracle worker" Dyche. Have I got that right, SD? You're very easily spooked it seems, it's so scary inside Goodison Park.

Timing is everything...
