"Michael has played for 3 of the most famous clubs in the world, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle".

I honestly would love him at Goodison, looking at his stats he didn't miss that much last season, I do believe his serious injuries are gone, if we can get him for decent wages I'd be very happy. Plus I could get his name on my shirt and show it to all the kopites I meet

The brochure is actually disappointingly prefessional and well done, and not at all as funny as I imagined it. After seeing Owen volleying a football in a suit early on I thought I was in for a laugh riot.

I'd take Owen if he was willing to fit into our wage structure. I don't think he would - I expect that he's expecting twice what the likes of Cahill and Arteta are on, because he's a Bosman.

.

I think you're missing the point: it's not so much the content (although how you can keep a straight face through that lot I dont know), it's the fact that there's a brochure there at all. THAT'S the joke.

I disagree. You're right that it's a professional job, which given Michael's salary, isn't surprising. But I find it absurdly funny that the greedy little get is advertising himself like he's a high-end product, no different to a Rolls Royce. This is total humiliation for Owen.

I agree . Its quite sad and alittle pathetic that Owen has to send brochures out to the football comunity to get a buzz going . Says alot that it really does in the fact that not many clubs are seriously intrested . Owen fell out of love with football a while ago you can see that in his eyes . He is now just carrying on to pay for his prime intrest , his Horses .

I've got a feeling it might just happen. If you think about it signing Owen has all the hallmarks of a Moyes-esque signing. Like Arteta, Pienaar and Jo he will be given a new lease of life and the flames of hunger are there to be stoaked.

If he is serious about having one last soiree before retirement, Everton could be the perfect place to do it. If he has the determination and the desire to filfull all these ambitions, ie play in Europe, get to another World Cup then the deal could be perfect for both parties.

I think Moyes would see him as a welcome challenge and if the partnership works it could pay dividends for both Owen and Everton. We would have a truly potent goal scorer firing on all cylinders and he would have the stage to get back to his best.

It would be a calculated risk however, and I think that is why a decision won't be rushed. I can imagine Moyes consulting with a few people before making the decision but I can honestly see it happening, possibly with Anichebe leaving and Jo being brought in on loan again.

Our striking options would then be:

Yakubu, Saha, Owen, Vaughan, Jo

I'd be delighted with that.

Just get him. He's gonna bust a gut to get playing, play well, and try to get into the england squad. That and it'll probably be his last club.
