Why would any club sack a manager and immediatly think of hiring big sam?

I don't know, perhaps something along the lines of more than likely stopping a rut and ensuring their Premier League survival?

They're one point above the relegation zone and only three above 20th, so I understand why they're not looking for an expansive, risky manager.

For all Big Sam's inefficiencies, every man and his dog knows that he'll get their yard dogs bouncing them to safety which is the short term aim.
