Panorama to question ownership of Everton

Indeed, it's in those circles (Obs/Graun) where he has the biggest rep. I find your take on him interesting as it indirectly posits a theory that I've been thinking about lately: namely that dirty money will only get found if it wants to (i.e. journos only get to chase what they are allowed to chase).
...and on that point: The Echo - not a dickie bird.

How pathetically predictable.

Key thing is there needs to be proof, i fail to see one rule broken, not saying there isnt smoke and mirrors here, but has a rule been broken?

I suspect Usminov and Mosihiri are clever then that.

I think it will be a bit of an anti climax to be honest.

I think the bbc will have to be very careful here about how they frame this.

It'll probably be just 5 minutes of airy speculation about how Mosh & Usmanov got into business 10 years ago based on one leaked document about a gift.

I hope so anyway, then we can put this to bed and not worry about the stadium deal being affected.

aye, the Echo liveblog on Everton has been active since 7am but no mention of The Times article yet...
...they haven't been able to get hold of a club spokesman yet. They'll tell them what to say, dont worry about that.

And fearless Phil McNulty - the cat seems to have got his tongue too. Another surprise development.

Wasn't something similar brought up last year then brushed aside?

Mainly due to southern journos worried about rich billionaires maybe looking elsewhere north to spend their cash than the capital?

Seems a lot of effort put in towards discrediting little old Everton.

And the premier league and FA have let bigger crooks than Mosh run clubs...

Cant see this going anywhere to be honest, what can they prove? All they can do is suggest they are friends and occasional business partners.

There is a whole house of cards that could fall here. The PL will be reluctant to unravel, City and its satellites and their sponsorship deals, Arsenal as well would be culpable if there was any proof, which i doubt there is, all this is, is muck throwing and inuendo and stating what is already public record.

Really this would have been looked into by the PL/FA when he took over, similarly so would the USM sponsorship deal.

I will be watching this laughing my head off.

We are untoucable in my honest opinion, unless they uncover a smoking gun, which i doubt.

Sound logic that.
