That. Ownership is scrutinised and so is sponsorship deals. If anything was amiss the PL would have taken action by now and not waited until Panorama told them.
Even the main focus of the programme with all be legal activity by people. Just in the same way big companies incorporate elsewhere and opporate in the UK and pay next to no tax.
The PL and indeed the FA would only have been able to base their judgments on what they had in front of them. The inference is that the documents the BBC now have in their possession wasn’t submitted.
Sponsorship deals are an interesting one for they aren’t scrutinised In advance. I can’t find any regulation or indeed comment on such agreements save certain goods such as cigarettes are banned by virtue of national law or sporting bodies regulations.
Clubs have to apply to the FA to obtain a license to play in UEFA completions but and here a big but you don’t go past the first stage of that process namely you don’t qualify nothing happens to that application.
What that means is that Everton play in UEFA completion( I know that’s open to debate) so everything is now being monitored , looked at and evaluated and that will include the FF sponsorship deal.
I am surprised so many are dismissing this and yes their may not be anything in it but FA rules and indeed their regulatory department anrent renowned for taking immediate action indeed if you look back to Leeds Utd and Ceelino it took 8 months to take action when the conviction he had in Italy and which immediatelyy dis barred him from being a director at an English football club was in the public domain and not disputed
