Panorama to question ownership of Everton

Meh.

Koeman looked like a decent appointment, it went wrong and he's changed it. To be honest, given Koeman was his man, I'm a bit surprised he didn't give him longer, so he's not scared to make tough decisions.

Hopefully his "root and branch" review will be looking at the non-playing side of the club in a similar way, and start to weed out any underperforming people.
Why give him credit for getting shut of that disaster?

Would you congratulate someone who bought a pit bull who took his hand off but then had it destroyed or would you say they were a fool in the first place for getting it?

A gift is a gift only if it comes with no strings attached, so my only concern is "gifting" monies that have to be invested in a specified company.
Just saying.
Which is impossible to prove mate.

I'd love a slice of Arsenal Ussie me old mate

Here you go fella here's the cash fill your boots if you like mucker.

Which applies to every Chairman who's ever sacked his manager ever..........

Don't make me vault your posts where you were happy to see Koeman given the job David.

Luckily for you, I've not had my tea yet ..

As long as he keeps his size tens out of the football decision making. He's almost killed us with that Koeman appointment. He's a geek and needs to accept that and stop playing FM with this club.

At the time many folk were pleased with that, not me because for me he had not done anything with the Saints to head hunt him. All very well your statement now with hindsight.

Dave panorama has been in the toilet for years compared to the waves it used to make with genuinely brilliant exposes, it's viewing figures these days are probably a tenth of a big brother episode or the latest Fay gypsies wedding.

Christ the public your speaking of getting up in arms can't even be parsed doing that for mps sexually assaulting people, for election frauds, for an illegal war which we where lied too about, or for the self same BBC covering up countless cases of the rapes and abuse of children by their star employees.
In all those examples you cite there are people/organisations that are caned for their misdeeds. Examples are made.

I'm not saying any action will come our way, but the bravado here that there's "nothing to see, lad" just isn't the truth of the matter. Detract from the messenger as being not first rate or forensic if you like, but they presented information and connections that are suspicious to say the least.

Zero proof though Dave, and there won't be because only two people could prove that an arrangement was made illegally and that's usmanov and moshiri.

Seriously you think the two blokes who took back everything stolen from Gazprom by oligarchs and crooks are gonna fall foul of panorama and the fa?

That's just seeing things and blotting out any downside to the info presented. You and others are making the big mistake that other people are like Everton supporters and just nod and wink about the links between the club and Usmanov. This wil be an eye opener for the general public who saw it and I wouldn't expect that to be that. I'd say that there's likely more evidence to come. That's the way these things a work: set up the second wave of info once you have people's attention.

As said, if there's a political will to get the skids under Usmanov they'll do that, and we need to avoid being collateral damage.

I don’t think so personally mate, what can be proven? Both have a link to a third party external administrator? Who themselves have to comply with regulation. It’s a matter of public record both share extensive business interests.

Look if the PL don’t have a problem with City conjuring up 200mill overnight with Emirates (run by the same family as the owners), they aren’t going to bother that a third part administrator worked in the past for both Usmanov and Moshiri, especially because they are business partners outside of football, they have and always have had huge business interests together. Also Usmanov doesn’t even have a seat on any PL board. The rule that needs to be proven is he is a shareholder in both clubs, I haven’t seen anything in the programme that even asserted that. Mearly the nature financial transactions could be a conflict of interest.

I’m amazed they didn’t mention the USM sponsorship deal, thats essentially creating a new funding source and putting 80 mill in new revenue in to the club directly from Usmanovs company. If the PL don’t have an issue with that they won’t have an issue with both having a link with a third party administrator.

Besides it’s not just Everton culpable here it’s Arsenal, personally I think this is more to do with Arsenal then us, I think it’s Kronke shenanigans and the battle between the pair that been going on over the last few months. Mud slinging at Usmanov.

So the whole segment on Everton/Usmanov/Moshiri was basically the BBC making a point that when Moshiri bought into the club, he used a company he was familiar with (Bridgewater) and the BBC had "an email" which implied Usmanov as a secret owner of that company and that might be against the rules.

Whole lot of nothing.

From a Guardian article;

The Appleby files illuminate the close relationship between the two billionaires, which continues today, Moshiri being the chairman of USM, the mega-wealthy holding company substantially owned by Usmanov. That has prompted campaign groups to question whether Premier League rules prohibiting “dual ownership” of clubs are drawn broadly enough. The rules prevent one person owning stakes in two clubs, but do not apply the same prohibition to close business associates.

Sound

I reckon we’ll see a rule change though.
