Was never the smoking gun it was made out to be with caps on how much you can invest from outside sources even if he were to come he couldn’t bank roll the way Chelsea and City have in the past.

But I would venture that the rich pickings to be made by getting the Liverpool Waters thing kick started via a dockside football stadium was involved in many discussions, way before Moshiri broke cover.

I may well be wrong, but said for ages now, the end game aint EFC. Its Liverpool Waters. We happen to be the key to that. Usnamov has sent his mate to set it up.

And as the return is potentially spectacular, even to a billionaire, he wont compromise that by mucking up with the rules and that,

Where I do agree with you is that Moshiri really did want to buy into a Premier League club in his own right. The Usmanov connection is interesting, but may ultimately mean nothing to Everton.

It wasn't my assertion. It was an extrapolation of what Roydo said. If their main aim is Liverpool Waters then why do they care about us as long as we stay in the premiership.

No evidence at all mate. Just my musings. The £80m? Yeah, deffo his own commitment, no doubt. Secured the SPV thing from LCC.

Even if it's definitively proven that Usmanov gifted Moshiri the cash to buy into Arsenal (which I doubt will be possible) then the fact that he later sold his stake back to Usmanov is irrelevant. A gift is a gift, and he can do what he likes with it.

But if it's the reason Moshiri was given the money to invest in us then I doubt there's more where that came from.

We have no idea what is going on. It's all just speculation. It wouldn't surprise me if the BBC found out about the story from here.

A gift is a gift only if it comes with no strings attached, so my only concern is "gifting" monies that have to be invested in a specified company.
