Panorama to question ownership of Everton

Just watched the section from yesterday on Everton. A total non-story. Moshiri came across very well considering he was doorstepped on his way from Goodison after the Arsenal drubbing. Sniff it BBC.

"Everton say the deal was approved by the Premier League, but we don't think they've seen our documents" - they're not "your" documents you knob. They were leaked to a German paper who were kind enough to hand them to you. Trying to make out like the BBC discovered the documents or something.

As for when he caught up with the one from Mrs Brown's Boys - why did he stop at the front door? It was a BBC building and he works for the BBC.

As much as they have been roving reporters and our moral guardians for many a year they've never had the foresight to throw a casting eye over our morally ambiguous neighbours across the park, nor a certain Mr James saville who worked amongst them for nearly 40 years.....

Even John Lydon grassed him up in the 70's and they chose to ignore it

People care that an organisation is owned by the name above the door.

If it's not then it looks extremely suspicious.

We're wounded by this association....it'll be constantly brought up and it'll dog are every financial move now.
While I understand how you could reach this conclusion, I really don’t think it is going to have anywhere near the impact you are suggesting. The bigger issue investigated is companies using offshore tax havens to avoid paying tax. A couple of minutes about how some guy may or may not be directly involved in both Everton and Arsenal is not really that big a concern. And let’s face it, Arsenal are a much bigger global brand than us, they are more likely to be negatively affected than we are.

I don’t see how the Everton segment was relevant to the rest of the programme.....which was all about tax evasion.

Why trying to suggest Usmanov was running EFC by proxy whilst still having a large chunk of Arsenal should appear in an investigation like that confuddles me
