He would have had a much harder job here trying to reverse the culture of mediocrity than runs downwards from the top of the club.

And like all his predecessors he would probably have failed.
 

I don't actually remember us being linked with him either. I don't think he would've done much better, Arsenal at the end of the day have been sitting above us since long before that happened, have more resources and these days a better academy too

I think he would of but one advantage he would have is the fans would instantly get behind him being a good former player, however that wouldn't of saved him in the long run.
 
Its not so much the manager. Its the money to spend. And we aint got it! We need 5 or 6 £60mill players to compete.😄
