Parallel Everton 1: What if we'd have appointed Arteta?

It's what if mate. So forget that, what do you think would have happened?

Failure because Arteta would have had to deal with "Chairman Bill" Kenwright and Denise Barrett Baxendale on the board

Serial failures. That mislead our fans & shareholders continually and persistently

When Arteta failed they would have thrown him under the bus to save their own skins

Wow you really do like to ’crow bar’ this topic into every thread don’t you? Your persistence is impressive 😂

We would have destroyed a Manager who had the potential to be great. After about 8 Managers in as many years, some decent, some bad, it couldn't be any more obvious that it is the people above them who run the club that need replacing. At the end of this season there needs to be a concerted effort to make sure that happens or we will just be back here again next season assuming we are still in the premier league.

Davek would still be calling Arteta a helmet headed Judas

We'd have ruined that hairline within six months.

It wouldn't matter, as you've seen with Chelsea, United now Liverpool, plus Arsenal after they lost against Barca in Paris. When Chelsea and City could buy 10 or 11 players for huge sums to rebuild a team, the manager could change things. It took years for Moyes to build a decent team. The problem is since Moshiri came in there has been no proper planning, sacking Martinez before Norwich was ridiculous, he should of been sacked earlier or backed, at least he had a style of play. We brought in Koemann, who wasn't in it for the long run, having a DOF has confused things even more, the problem with Everton is there is no accountability, which moron decided not to bring in a proper striker to help DCL, even so called negative Moyes has AJ, Anichebe, Vaughan, McFadden, then Cahill. Even he was clever enough to get players like Jo, Saha, Beckford and Naismith to contribute to goals. For some unknown reason, people running Everton seem to think goals don't matter, that's why we are this mess. You can't sell Lukaku and Richy, then fail to bring anyone in, then to add insult to injury, you sell Gordon when we don't have any replacement lined up. I'm no fan of Kenwright, but it's a symptom of having a clueless Muppet as an owner, where nobody knows whose in charge. Brands was got rid of despite being well respected at Everton, which moron decided to sell Digne coz Benitez didn't like him, then sacked him 2 days later. It takes years to build a team, but would Paisley, Wenger or SAF have done so well if they had to deal with an owner who knows nothing about running a team.
